Sammanfattning
Summary Lot of money and effort is invested in the greenhouse gases investigation because of the severe threat against the earth wellbeing and human survival, but still there is some lack of knowledge. The forest is primly seen as a carbon sink, but the runoff water will bring organic matter to lakes where methane is produced; a more than 20 times potent greenhouse gas then CO2. This study aims for a better understanding of methane emissions from lakes and develop the previous studies by measure both temporal and spatial variation in a lake. Automatic flux chambers will be distributed in transects in depth classes and the measurement will carry on from early summer to the icing of the lake. To explain variations in the emissions complementing measurement will be done e. g. wind speed, dissolved organic carbon and temperature. These measurements will also be compared with parallel measurements of CO2 and CH4 emissions from the plants in the same lake. Hela projektplanen är bifogad i en pdf.
